Sixth Annual Quick Pitch Competition
Competition Overview
Announcing a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to participate in the San Diego Tech Coast Angels Quick Pitch competition. Selected applicants will make a 2-minute quick pitch presentation. The panel will judge your presentation on both substance (content) and presentation quality (style). This year's overall winner will receive a large monetary prize on behalf of the John G. Watson Foundation.
Why Participate?
TCA is a catalyst in helping build Southern California's economy into a thriving center of technology and entrepreneurship. Our primary objective for this event, is to foster the entrepreneurial spirit and promote investment opportunities.
Do You Qualify?
This competition is open to ALL entrepreneurs, in Southern California, who seek either investors, experienced board members and/or mentors. It is open to companies that are pre or post revenue, in IT, wireless, life sciences, energy, consumer products, or any other science or technology based industry.
If your application is selected, you will have the opportunity to:
• Compete in a fun and interactive event, network and build relationships with experienced Tech Coast Angels investors, who can provide you with valuable insights about your business ventures.
• Expose your company to over 500 experienced executives from San Diego's Entrepreneurial community including investment and commercial bankers, VCs, and professionals from accounting and law firms.
• Network with Tech Coast Angel members who will mentor you through the competition and could serve as board members and individual investors for your company.
*Note: Selection will be based on a quality threshold. Only the first 80 complete applications that meet this threshold will be considered for the competition. Finalists will be selected from the total received.
Tech Coast Angels' mission is to provide opportunities for members to obtain outstanding financial returns by investing in early-stage technology companies in Southern California. TCA members provide seed and early-stage capital in the range of $250K-$2M, an investment range not generally served by venture capital funds. Members are accredited investors and are founders, CEO's, venture capitalists and business leaders who have funded and built world-class companies. TCA members mentor and coach the entrepreneurs, serve on boards, provide contacts, and assist with team building, strategic planning and fundraising for the companies in which members invest.
