San Diego Startup Week
May 28, 2019 - June 3, 2019$99
The largest event in our #SDtech community, San Diego Startup Week is coming next month! Launched by the nonprofit Startup San Diego to build the entrepreneurial community in San Diego, SDSW 2019 will be their biggest program yet!
Startup Week brings together entrepreneurs to share progress, exchange resources, and celebrate the thriving innovation community by showcasing exciting local innovation, sharing resources and knowledge, and strengthening connections.
Taking place across 7 days and stretching from Carlsbad to Tijuana, there will be workshops, one-on-one mentoring, pitch competitions, panel presentations, Startup Fairs, a Startup Showcase, Startup Crawls, parties, and dozens of chances to network with founders, entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators!
Events will be divided into four tracks – Idea Track, Seed Track, Growth Track, and San Diego Track – covering every step of the startup process from conception to production, with an emphasis on the elements that make the San Diego startup ecosystem such a unique, diverse, and rewarding community.
TCA members will be at the Idea, Seed, and Growth pitch competition held on Thursday, May 30th, from 4-7pm. San Diego Startup Week’s Pitch Competitions provide budding entrepreneurs with a chance to try out their pitches and hear the audience’s reactions. Judges will make the final round decisions with prizes for the best pitches. Want to pitch to us? Applications are open and slots are available!
We will also be hosting the Investor Keynote Panel on Thursday, May 30th, from 7-8pm: Getting To Exit – Financing Through the Stages, moderated by TCA’s Victoria Lakers and including TCA’s Caitlin Wege. Want to learn about how to get your startup funded, or interested in investing in startups yourself? Join us to learn how investors think and what you can do to increase your chances of funding. Learn from angels, venture capitalists and a family office how to take your company from idea, to seed, growth and exit.
