New TCA Website and Simplified Application Process Help Develop Entrepreneurs
IRVINE, Calif., June 29, 2010— Tech Coast Angels (TCA), the largest angel investmentnetwork in the United States, participated in first quarter deals valued at over $11.5 million combining angel and venture funds. The high level of investment activity reflects a growth-oriented, dynamic entrepreneurship environment in Southern California and several key initiatives implemented by Tech Coast Angels to help support and develop entrepreneurs, including a newly designed website, a simplified application process and the recently developed entrepreneurial mixers that provide entrepreneurs with the opportunity to meet with angel investors.
According to Richard Sudek, President of the TCA Network, “We’re working hard to make life easier for Southern California entrepreneurs. Our mixers are being well received, the recent Fast Pitch Event in Orange County was a huge success and we’re also launching our new websitewith easier access for all.”
The new TCA website, at www.techcoastangels.com, gives entrepreneurs a clear picture of who and what TCA is, what the network can do for small, start-up businesses and what the network members are looking for. Most important, TCA has simplified the application process for all entrepreneurs. A very clear form guides the applicant through the information that the network requires. Just reading the form will give any potential applicant a clear idea of what they need to know about their company in order to be interesting to potential investors. As Sudek says, “The new website is the first step of many to improve the process for entrepreneurs, and we will be implementing more enhancements throughout the year.” Companies that are currently benefiting from Q1 follow-on investments include Cyber-Rain, Benchmark Revenue, Allylix, Vigilistics and H2Scan.
